Read what some of our members have to say...

Since becoming familiar with the Inspired Learning Model, every concept that I offer during my presentations (i.e. acceptance, presence, gratitude, openness, inspired action, loving-kindness) is accompanied by an experiential activity so that Inspired Learners can test and experience the concepts allowing them to discover their own truth with respect to the possibilities being offered in the presentation.

For example when I am discussing mindfulness/consciousness, I want Inspired Learners to experience what mindful presence feels like so we do an exercise in mindful eating.  I give each person a tiny box of raisins.  Placing just one raisin in their mouths, I guide them to experience the texture before and after chewing the raisin, I direct their attention to the flavors that fill their mouths when the raisin is pierced by the teeth and I ask them to be aware of the lingering tastes left in the mouth after the raisin is swallowed.  After each experiential activity, I give Inspired Learners an opportunity to share their experiences with the group or to write about them.”

“I began training as a life coach in November, 2003 and did not realize it at the time, but that training started me on my journey of “inspired learning and living”.  Together with the Basic Facilitators Training, which I took some time later, I was able to make some awe-inspiring changes in my life.  These are most evident in my relationships, particularly with my parents.  I can now say that I have a relationship with my mother.  Prior to being “inspired” and knowing how to honor others, I would react negatively to any negative statements or criticisms.  Now, I don’t.  I now know how and when to ask a powerful question and make whomever I am talking to really think about what they are saying.

It works with friends, it works with colleagues, but I think the best part of all of this is that I now end every conversation with my mother and father with “I love you Dad, I love you Mom” and they always say “I love you, too.”  I went 50 plus years not hearing such terms of endearment, so this is quite wonderful for me.

“Throughout my professional training as a coach I’ve had the good fortune to learn within a model where a safe environment is assured, only positive and affirming feedback is offered, and participants are acknowledged as being innately wise and primarily responsible for their own learning. Last Fall a colleague and I created and facilitated a nine-week program using these Inspired Learning Model™ principles and it was truly amazing what transpired—both for us as facilitators and for those who attended. The model builds perfectly on my expertise and has transformed my approach to learning. Needless to say, I’m inspired!

I believe that anyone with a passion for learning (teachers, trainers, parents, HR professionals, and more) would be well served by dipping into this body of knowledge.”

“I worked with a large group of managers who had just come together as a team in a newly created department.  Their Director was interested in providing them with some tools for being effective and collaborative, and asked me to conduct a weekly “training” session for the next 4 weeks.  I introduced components of the Inspired Learning Model, including the Standards of Presence, to the group through
a series of exercises, including role playing.

It was so successful that a couple of other departments invited me to work with their managers.
While I had worked at helping create better, more effective teams previously, I can truly say that, integrating the Inspired Learning Model into my training made my recent experiences easier, fun,
and more effective.”
