Growing & Redefining Ourselves
- We defined our vision and mission to be inclusive of those we serve
- We articulated our values in written form
- We expanded our Board of Trustees, changing the number of Trustees from 3 to 6
- We developed overall roles, responsibilities & core competencies of expanded Board of Trustees
- Developed roles and responsibilities and core competencies of key Foundation positions
- Rewrote our Foundation bylaws and developed a conflict of interest policy
The following accomplishments and milestones represent significant progress for the Foundation and have positioned us for accelerate growth:
Legal & IRS Status
- Incorporated as a California Non Profit 501(c)3 Corporation on January 21, 2003
- Received our favorable “Determination Letter” from the IRS as a tax exempt non profit (eligible to receive donations) in October 2004
Staffing
- 3 volunteer officers are currently spending 5 days a week among the three to operate and plan for the future development of the Foundation
- A volunteer Executive Director currently spending 3 days a week on developing the Foundation.
- A passionate and active volunteer core of 12 people
Fulfilling our mission to Educate the world in the Inspired Learning Model™ we have:
- Hosted four Inspired Learning Invitationals for 60 visionary leaders in October 2004, June 2005, October 2005
and May 2006.
- Conducted 10 Basic Inspired Learning Facilitator Classes and 6 Advanced Inspired Learning Facilitator Classes.
- Trained over 100 individuals in the Inspired Learning Model training programs.
- Combined the Foundations course with the Certification training in 2006 to create the Inspired Learning Certification Program. See the revised certification page for more information.
Certification
- Approximately 54 Inspired Learning Faciltators working towards or already certified as
a Certified Inspired Learning Facilitator™
- 6 Inspired Learning Facilitators working towards or already certified as
a Master Certified Inspired Learning Facilitator.
The Howard County Public School System Project
- Co-developed the Coaching Skills for Educational Leaders Program
- Delivered a 10-month program completely within the Inspired Learning Model™ beginning in August 2004 and concluding in May 2005
- Collected data over the duration of the Program (statistical instruments were co-developed with
a professional educational researcher)
- The results were positive from both a statistical stand point and from a human development standpoint. Click here for the full report.
