As a Facilitator and Leader

Kate has successfully led and managed global virtual teams throughout her career.

• Kate facilitated the design and development of Livelink™ virtualteams web-based collaboration software for NetAge, Inc. (www.virtualteams.com). At NetAge, Kate worked with the world-renowned experts on virtual teams, Jeffrey Stamps and Jessica Lipnak, and she led the cross-organizational virtual development team.
• Kate co-founded Peritus Software Services, offering outsourcing, consulting and tools for software asset maintenance, and assisted in growing the company to 500 employees and $46 million in sales. 
• At Apollo Computer Kate led the corporate cross-functional team (R&D, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Customer Support) to successfully deliver a totally revamped, state-of-the-art Operating System while maintaining customer satisfaction.

As a Coach and Trainer

In her role as Director of Technology transfer at Peritus Software Services, Kate created innovative training and coaching for high performance and global software teams. She has worked with leaders and teams in the following companies: Shell, Pfizer, CSC, Group Bull, Netseil and Bellcore.

Kate currently runs Kate Harper Coaching (www.kateharper.com) where she coaches leader and teams to achieve their goals with ease and personal satisfaction!

As an Educator and Teacher

In her role as Adjunct Professor for Master of Management in the Ecommerce program at Cambridge College in Massachusetts, Kate has brought positive performance skills to the learning environment. Her classes on Professional Management Seminars, Self-Awareness and Career Development, Team Development and Project Management are well received by students and administration alike.

• Kate is a Certified Life Coach by Coach for Life Masters Coaching Program.
• Earned her MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois in 1980.
• Earned her BS in Engineering from Swarthmore College in 1977
• Received her Cordon Bleu Certificate from Cordon Bleu Cookery School, LTD, in 1984.
• Kate is a member of the International Coaches Federation (ICF)
