Certified Inspired Learning Facilitator Program
***New Options in 2012

  • The Certification Program has been revamped and new training options are available for 2012.
  • Our new 4-week “Inspired Learning Model ™ Intensive” is a content-rich, hands-on, value-added program.  Participants will learn practical tools on how to implement the Model as well as have access to, for the first time, a quantitative tool that allows them to test the effectiveness of the Model wherever they are using it, in less than 5 minutes.
  • The new Certification Program is more comprehensive than ever before, with lots of lots of practical tools and exercises, as well as coaching and guidance so that the journey to certification is seamless and easy.

American Literacy Association, Administrators, Tutors and Learners

The Inspired Learning Model™ was introduced to the literacy sector through a series of presentations, beginning in 2007:

  • November 8, 2007:  Proliteracy Worldwide Conference (Guidelines to Accelerated Learning: Creating a successful and safe learning environment).  Marlene Martin and Sheila Mitchell facilitated a 'playshop' where they created and allowed participants to experience the powerful support, safety and encouragement of the Inspired Learning Model .
  • November 9, 2007: Proliteracy Worldwide Conference (Give Yourself Permission to Dream Big).  In this 'playshop' learners (and others) were invited to consider a new way of thinking, to connect with their personal 'big dream' of success and create a personal vision.
  • November 10, 2007:  Proliteracy Worldwide Conference (Coach to Success) In this workshop, participants learned to use coaching concepts and specific coaching skills to support and enhance student/learner progress.

Since 2007, additional progress was made by Marlene Martin and Sheila Mitchell and others to integrate the Model into the Adult Literacy Training in California:

  • June 2009: Marlene Martin and Sheila Mitchell facilitated a program for Adult Literacy tutors in California. The Program was modelled on the Certified Inspired Learning™ Facilitator Program and was funded via a government grant.
  • Funding was provided by the federal government in 2011, under theLibrary Services and Technical Act, allowing the Santa Clara County Library to continue to bring the Inspired Learning Model to Adult Literacy in California.
  • Summer, 2011: Peter Reding and Marlene Martin helped create video clips for pre-registration videos for Adult Literacy tutors.  The key is that the 4-5 minute clips involve learners (not tutors) who were previously exposed to the Inspired Learning Model™ and who talk about how their lives have progressed over time.   This is significant.  Not only is the Model being integrated into a third party program, but we now have students who have been in the environment in a pure sense of the Model for a number of years and we can see the enormous impact the Inspired Learning Model™ has had on them.

Master Certified Inspired Learning Program

  • Our last Master Certified Inspired Learning™ Facilitator Program was held from January-July, 2008: Four individuals completed the 7-month Program.
  • Individuals completing this certification program are now part of our faculty of trainers.
  • We look forward to offering a Master Certified Inspired Learning Facilitator Program in the near future.

New Inspired Learning Program Opportunities for Parents

  • We've developed a program specifically for parents (and guardians of children) called Inspired Parenting - Parenting With Joy and Ease and are planning to host some free one-hour teleclasses and forums for parents in 2012.   Please register for our newsletters and be one of the first to receive information about future events.

New Program for Youth

  • Our new youth program "Success Dynamics for Inspired Youth" was piloted in Canada April 20-23, 2009.   A total of 21 youth from 4 schools participated. learn more
  • We are currently discussing collaborative effects about potential program launches in 2012.  Stay tuned.

Inspired Learning in India

  • On September 11, 2010 Peter Reding facilitated the first ever 1-day Inspired Learning Model workshop in Delhi, India.    A total of 32 teachers attended, representing schools from all over India.   All the participants were interested in learning more so Peter agreed to conduct 4 follow-up webinars for the 32 teachers and any additional ones who wanted to attend.
  • Discussions about future work in India took place in 2011.  Stay tuned for more news in 2012.

The Best Brilliant Idea for Humanity Contest

  • We were one of the top five winners in the Best Brilliant Idea for Humanity Contest.  The contest gave us an opportunity to work with a core group of individuals to help facilitate our participation in the contest and further the introduction of the Inspired Learning Model™ to the world.  Thank you, Mark, Michael, Anne, Marti and Suzanne--we couldn't have done it without you.
  • The contest helped us focus our priorities on how to effectively expand our message to the world, develop a succinct business plan, and determine our target audiences, which are:
    • Parents
    • Teachers
    • Adult Learning Facilitators:  i) facilitators from organizations and ii) independent facilitators
    • Visionaries of learning (e.g.: educational leaders, policy makers, organizational leaders)
  • The contest also gave us an opportunity to create a mini-book about the Inspired Learning Model™, a small booklet in story format which beautifully explains the Model and its effectiveness.   The mini-book will be published and made available in 2012.
We are currently in discussion with a number of organizations and individuals and, as other projects become finalized, we will post them on the website.  If any of the projects spark an interest in a program for your sector, please contact our Executive Director.
